Builders FirstSource, Inc. is a Fortune 500 company that is a manufacturer and supplier of building materials. The company is headquartered in Dallas, Texas, and is the largest supplier of building products, prefabricated components, and value-added services in the US. Builders FirstSource employs over 15,000 people throughout the USA. They serve new residential construction, repair, and remodeling professionals. The company was incorporated in March 1998. The company has about 400 locations in 39 US states.

I do not recommend this company for anything. Worst experience dealing with everything from a salesman to management and staff. The salesman is downright rude and hard to work with. If you have any warranty issues it’s like pulling teeth to get anything done, just terrible service. Never get any callbacks when you leave a message with this company, and their right-hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing. Save yourself any trouble and go with a good company. This one needs new management to teach their staff and salesman proper work ethics.

"Many employees are hired through temp agencies so employees don't feel valued. Company has grown through acquisition leaving it without a core culture. Upper management is happy to manage by email but does little to support. Processes are redundant, antiquated and waste time. Efficiency is not a priority. They make the simple process of selling material more complicated than it needs to be. There is little training available to new employees. This company seems to be more focused on financial gimmicks than being profitable through hard work and servicing the customer."

"Managers do no know how to manage people, poor leadership, unprofessional employees, lack of team work, favoritism, lack of positive reinforcement, no one takes accountability., You have to rely on overtime bcz the pay sucks, so no work life balance."

"Crappy equipment no training go go go attitude,,. pull any employee off to the side and ask them a question and their answer is I don't give a and that starts in the office all the way down to the load pullers. They do not care what time you get off what time you start as in if it fits their needs . They can take a nice vacation but when you ask for a week off and if another driver or load puller has a day off in the middle of the week you cannot have that week because somebody else has got your spot for one crappy day that's how they operate the biggest backstabbing organization I've ever been around with no training asked for something you get nothing . can never trust anybody there somebody is always out to get you and you are always a liar.. never get "Good Job "out of anybody.. And if there is a foul up your butt is on the line for a very long time, years .Do 8000 jobs correct but by God don't be on the wrong side of them once you have a screw up with their crappy equipment it's constantly butt kissing! To The Bitter End!! and you will get tired of it very quickly: people are very uneducated do not know what the right hand to the left hand is doing and that's a fact ask anybody but then again they say I don't give a CRAP!!"

"I didn’t like how I worked there past the time they gave me to tell me they would hire me on and just left me out to dry, I was accused of smoking on the job and I was also harassed but I didn’t retaliate I also was told to ,”try not to get shot” while heading out on a job from one of my bosses and that made me very uncomfortable You will have workNot paying you for your worth"

"I started working there in the winter they handed me a hammer and told me get to work... I wasn’t trained and when you mess up because no one trains you they get mad and move you. Know one talks to you if your hired as a temp the employees are mad you make more. A guy had been there 15 years and only made 20$ are they nuts! On a pouring down rain slow cold winter night with nothing really Left to do they had us out side for 6 hours standing looking for work . I’d highly advise to STAY AWAY!!!!Nothing absolutely the worstEverything"

"I started off on 2nd shift as a loader. Things were good and I even learned a lot about fixtures, windows, doors, etc. After awhile I moved to 1st shift. Me & two other people ran the Trim department. I loved it up until a new manager came and changed everything. My final straw was a 11¢ raise.Good OT, BenefitsNo Vaseline"
